How to install iptables

Installation

Most users will not need to install iptables since it is included in the Open Client by default. However, users who are installing their own Linux versions with an IBM layer on top must install the software which includes a preconfigured iptables rulebase developed by IBM. The iptables package is part of the security Open Client layer, but may also be separately installed.

Installation via IBM Software Shopper

Launch the IBM Software Shopper, and search for the ibm-firewall software package.

Installation via command line

RHEL and Fedora

sudo yum install ibm-firewall

OCDC

sudo apt-get install ibm-firewall
